Moeller-Creel Wedding

A few weeks ago, I had the honor of visiting the Beauvoir for the first time since I moved here in 1996, but more importantly, I photographed a beautiful wedding there!

The wedding was picturesque, the weather ideal, and the bride was literally as beautiful as Barbie.  Everyone who saw her agreed! I wanted to share the photos from that day, and wish the newlyweds congratulations again!

Senior Session: Rachel Cross

Last weekend I met up with Rachel Cross; I used to lead her older sister in the youth group at church and her mom is the most fun runner chick I know!  They’re such a fun and fabulous family and Rachel has grown into such a gorgeous young lady!  She’s so funny and confident and it shows in these photos!

She’s a senior at my alma mater: Ocean Springs High School and she’s already checking out her college choices!  Best of luck to this smart, lovely and beautiful girl!

Rachel’s so cool, even a random dog walked up at the end of our session and she just went with the flow and the dog sat down for a couple shots 🙂 Loved it!

If you’re interested in booking a Senior session, please contact me!  I have many senior packages available, all which include digital copies for sharing your sweet photos online and on social media!

Portraits with Ashley at foggy Front Beach

On Sunday, I met up with my great friend Ashley.  She is a kick-butt trainer and woman of God!  She is so inspiring and has been bit with the blogging bug herself lately!  She asked if I would take some photos for use on her blog and on some sites that she will be guest-blogging on as well.  She texted me before we met asking about the foggy conditions, but they were perfect!  The fog diffused the normally harsh mid-day sun and apart from the higher than normal humidity, it was a great session!  (So don’t be afraid of non-sunny conditions, I can always make the conditions work for your session!)

It’s always fun to hang with Ashley and I highly suggest reading her blog here and contacting her if you have any fitness needs!  She’ll whip you RIGHT into shape and I know she’ll make you have fun while you’re working your booty off!

Anderson-Avgerinos Wedding: part 2

I’m back with the final installment of the Anderson-Avgerinos wedding!  In case you missed part one last week, be sure to check it out here!  It was such a fun wedding to photograph; their families and friends are so fun, and they’re all so good looking too! If you didn’t figure it out, the whole wedding party wore Converse, and she even let me do the same!  That may be the BEST thing a bride can let a photographer do 😉

Anderson-Avgerinos Wedding: part 1

I had the pleasure of working with Andy and Andria for both their engagement and wedding photography.  I really enjoy doing both sessions with a couple so we can be comfortable and familiar with each other so that when the big day comes, they feel totally at ease with me.  Andy & Andria took some amazing engagement photos which you can see here!

Their wedding was just over 2 weeks ago and it was a beautiful day!  It was decorated with fall colors and rustic charm at The Old Place in Gautier, MS, a gorgeous setting!  So without further delay, here are some photos from their special day!

I’d like to thank Andria and the Anderson family for picking me to be their photographer.  They were the most fun and easy going clients a photographer could dream of!  Also congratulations to the awesome (and great looking!) new Avgerinos family!

Be sure to come back next week for Part 2!

Fun with Photographers: Kristin W.

Awhile ago I reached out to a Flickr contact I had come across named Kristin.  She seemed really cool and her photo showed she was wearing Rayban Wayfarers just like I love so I knew she had to be awesome!  We ended up meeting a few months later in October 2011 at Walt Disney World for the Magic Kingdom’s 40th Anniversary Flickr meet up and the rest is history!  I visited her last year in Massachusetts, and this past weekend, she and her husband came to visit us!  It’s always fun to hang out with Kristin, she may be “Northern” but she’s really laid back so I’m making her an honorary Southern-er 🙂

She is also one of the 3 founders of our photography site: The Glass Slipper Blog.  If you like Disney, photography, both at the same time or just great photos in general, you should totally check it out!

I drove them around Ocean Springs and Biloxi, they got to experience the Peter Anderson festival and we also got to take them on their first New Orleans trip!  We also took some portraits on the beach and in general, had a nice weekend!  They’ve moved to Pittsburgh since I visited them last year, so maybe next year I can go visit them there!  And, I’m trying to get her to join us at Walt Disney World in the next few months… Here’s hoping that works out too!  Hope you enjoy some of the photos from this weekend!

It was such a fun time, I’m so glad they were able to come and visit!  Hope to see them again soon!

Also, be sure to come back tomorrow for the first installation of the Avgerinos wedding photos!

Snapshots of Raleigh, Part II

I’m back from Raleigh, NC but wanted to share more photos from the trip!  Last week I shared these photos, and now here’s another set!

I went to the North Carolina Museum of Art two days in a row last week.  It’s that awesome! There are 2 buildings housing artwork and there are multiple sculptures in the surrounding museum park and trails and I still didn’t get to see everything!  Again, I’d highly recommend a visit there!

I even lost my lens cap twice and had to retrace my steps quite a bit to find it each time!

There are even remains (the smokestack below and some other sculptures) of the old youth prison that was once housed there!raleigh-5-2

Then, the next day, I had the opportunity to go back to the Raleigh Rose Garden and do some portraits with some local models. One of the models was late, so I unfortunately didn’t get many photos with her due to time restraints, but it was still really fun to work with them, as well as the other 2 photographers who were there!

Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The weather was great, the city was really fun to explore and everyone that I met was extremely nice.  Even that far North (even though NC is still technically the “South”), Southern hospitality is still easy to find!

Snapshots of Raleigh, North Carolina

It’s been too long, I know…

But hey, I’m visiting Raleigh, NC this week and while my husband is doing some job training, I’m getting to explore the city by myself and take as MUCH time as I want photographing whatever I want.  It’s really quite nice to be able to take all the time I want to take all the SHOTS I want!

So far, I’ve visited downtown, the Raleigh Rose Garden, the NCSU JC Raulston Arboretum and the NC Museum of Art.  All of them are free admission and open to the public!  I highly recommend them if you’re ever in the area!  So check out some of my photos from the trip up until now!

These are from today at the North Carolina Museum of Art:

I would highly recommend this museum, it was so large and features tons of different kinds of art.  I’m definitely looking forward to going back tomorrow and exploring the sculptures!

This next set is from yesterday’s trip to the JC Raulston Arboretum:

The arboretum features TONS of various plants that they test to see how they hold up in the local climate.  The gardens range in style from Japanese to coniferous trees to desert cacti! So many different areas and plants (as well as wildlife) to see!

And lastly, I’m sharing some photos from yesterday when I visited the Raleigh Rose Garden:

raleigh-4-8The Raleigh Rose Garden is a quaint little area in the city (near the Arboretum) with thousands of roses.  It is quiet and peaceful and of course, it smells pretty heavenly.

I’m exploring some more until we leave Friday, so be sure to come back this weekend where I’ll share some more photos from my journey!

Baby Goodwin: At Home

I got a chance to see Laikyn and Amy again and they both look beautiful!  Amy is a beautiful mother and her new daughter was perfectly well behaved, she was asleep the whole time! 😉

It was my pleasure to capture some more sweet moments between them at home this week!

And who can resist these little feet, ears and little baby skin rolls? Just so adorable!Laikyn1

New Arrival: Goodwin Birth Photography Part 2

Last weekend I shared Part 1 of John & Amy’s Birth Photography, and now I’m pleased to share the final installment!  Let the new baby cute-ness and joyous family and friend photos commence!

Again, congratulations to the newly expanded Goodwin and McPeek families!  Thanks to them for choosing me to capture these precious moments!  I can’t wait to see her grow!
